Camille Hatton
M.M. Conducting
Camille teaches drums alongside piano and voice, which gives her a unique perspective on how rhythm connects to everything in music. She's creative and adaptive in her approach, building each lesson around the student in front of her and making sure kids feel encouraged and excited to play.
Reese Carr
B.A. Film Studies
A professional drummer and producer, Reese has performed at South By Southwest, Lincoln Center, and The Apollo Theater, and has recorded and toured internationally — through Italy with jazz singer Amalia Gre', across London and Spain with rock band Pagoda, and through Ivory Coast, West Africa with his World Roots ensemble, Brown Rice Family.
What Your Child Can Explore in Drum Lessons
Rhythm & Coordination
Stick control, basic beats, limb independence, and the foundational timing skills that every drummer needs. Students build these skills progressively so they feel natural rather than overwhelming.
Reading & Musicianship
Learning to read drum notation, count rhythms, and understand how drums fit into the bigger picture of a song. These skills help students play along with other musicians and pick up new songs more easily.
Exploring Styles
Rock, jazz, funk, pop, Latin, or whatever gets your child moving. Drums are one of the most physical and expressive instruments, and lessons are shaped by the kind of music your child wants to play.
