Hi, I'm Amanda!
Amanda Massengill, originally from Jackson, TN, has been a
passionate musician, teacher, and performer for over seventeen
years. Her primary instruments are voice, piano, and conducting.
She holds three music degrees from Austin Peay State University
in Clarksville, Tennessee and Southern Illinois University in
Carbondale, Illinois. Her education is specialized in training of
classical voice and choral conducting. Upon starting her own
successful music studio in 2018, Amanda has extended her private
voice and piano instruction into classrooms from elementary
school to the upper collegiate level.
In her career, she has performed several roles such as “The Grand
Duchess of Monte Blanco” in A Dinner Engagement, “Gretel” from
Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and choral roles in The Sorcerer
and Dido and Aeneas. Amanda has performed in choral positions
traveling to sing in the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall.
She performs regularly as a recital soloist and freelance musician
with various groups. Most recently, Amanda has performed
Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and holds a permanent membership
with the Naples Philharmonic Chorus.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys fitness and nutrition,
psychology, interior design, fashion, and sports. Her music tastes
vary wildly as she is an avid music lover of all genres and time
periods. Additionally, Amanda writes a weekly nutrition column
and enjoys being a lifelong student of science. Amanda’s love of
colors, design, and fashion compliment her adoration for the
theatre and performing.
